Understanding, Learning and Innovating - The Agriculture and Food Systems Sustainability Challenge

International Dialogue:
This International Dialogue is a unique opportunity to explore and mobilize positive action toward sustainable, secure, and equitable food and agriculture systems. Aimed at funders and key international stakeholders, this symposium is intended to present inspiring case studies of positive change on critical food systems issues, and engage participants in robust dialogue on what food systems change means and what we can do, individually and collectively, to support effective solutions.
Program Highlights:
We are pleased to release our program highlights for the International Dialogue! Your presence at this dialogue will add enormously to this dynamic forum of presentation, discussion, and engagement on critical issues and innovative ways to move forward on food system reform. The program will feature sessions on:
• Advancing the centrality of wellbeing in the food systems challenge
• Supporting agroecological movements and food systems
• Realizing equitable food systems of the future
• Making visible the full costs of producing food to drive attention to hidden externalities
• Rallying local and global political will and support
• Leveraging change: critical issues and opportunities

The Global Alliance for the Future of Food:
The Global Alliance cultivates healthy, equitable, renewable, resilient, and culturally diverse food and agriculture systems shaped by people, communities, and their institutions. We are a unique coalition of foundations committed to leveraging our resources to help shift food and agriculture systems towards greater sustainability, security, and equity. Plurality is the strength of the Global Alliance bringing together foundations despite differences from countries across the globe with diverse interests and expertise, spanning health, agriculture, food, conservation, cultural diversity and community well-being. At the core of the Global Alliance is a shared belief in the urgency of advancing sustainable global agriculture and food systems, and in the power of working together and with others to effect positive change.
Registration:
We are extending initial invitations to key participants. Participation in this dialogue is limited. As such, this invitation is non-transferable for select advance registration.
Thank you to those that have already registered. For those who haven't, to take advantage of our advance registration, please register here. The deadline for advance registration is Friday 6 March, after which date registration will be open.
There is no fee for the symposium but we are asking participants to officially register and cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Hotel:
We are working with Fondazione Cariplo and a Milan-based agency to arrange for hotel bookings. We will be in touch upon registration with the contact information and booking code for the agency so they can assist you with your hotel booking.
